Opeens waren ze overal: de uiltjes. Waar deze hype vandaan kwam, weet niemand in hipsterland. Maar dat we ervan af willen, dat is wel duidelijk. Natuurlijk zijn ze schattig, lief en leuk. Maar nu ieder kaartje een nachtdier met grote ogen op de cover heeft, iedereen een uiltje in de kinderkamer op de muur heeft geverfd en de HEMA zo’n beetje op ieder stuk servies een vogel plaatst, is de trend wel over.
Overigens zijn de katten wel nog steeds helemaal IN, maar dat zijn ze al sinds de Egyptenaren. Cats rule, deal with it.

Yep, we hebben er weer een nieuwe hype bij. Baby’s in kopjes gefotografeerd met instagram. Leuk hoor, van die babyplaatjes, maar om nou te spreken van een supergrappige trend, gaat ook weer wat ver. Mensen met een kind zullen smelten bij de foto’s, maar ‘normale’ mensen vinden het gewoon geinig. Ach ja, al die hypes, memes en virals zijn best geinig, maar ik ren nog niet direct naar de eerste de beste baby om deze boven een kopje te houden.
Valt het je overigens ook op hoe verschrikkelijk hipster de koffiekopjes zijn? Ja, alles is vintage, cool en ‘uniek’.

Opeens verschijnen ze overal op sociale media, dumpert en forums: Morgen werken? Nee, ik ben op vakantieman. Nee, morgen Nieman, etc. etc.
Geen idee waar de plaatjes vandaan komen, waarschijnlijk van Slechte Woordgrappen op Facebook. In ieder geval zijn ze best geinig. Vooral op zondag.

Thick coloured tights or pantyhoses are the fashion hit for the winter of 2012/2013. Allthough the fashioninsdustry wants girls to wear colourblocking thights, with flashy coloures like pink, orange or yellow, we choose something else.
The leggings we like are thick, so they protect us against the cold. And they have a flashy design. They are the must-have of this winter. Nice with a simple white or black dress, they will show off your legs perfectly. No pants this winter, but dresses with funky thights, that’s what we like!

Fake eyelashes are fun for when you’re going out or celebrating Halloween. But appearently in London the girls wear them day and night. It’s gotten so far, there’s even an eyelashbar!
It’s bad, cause it’s fake and quite expensive. And it’s not even that beautiful, as men prefer a natural girl (at daytime).
So girls, keep the fake eyelashes for when you’re going out and stop looking like Kim Kardashian at daytime, it’s trashy!
UPDATE 24 oct. 2012: Guess Natalie Portman should have read this blog, as her fake eyelashes are now forbidden in the UK.

‘The French Riviera is the place to be in the summer. Lots of famous people enjoy parties in Cannes, St. Tropez or… Monaco. It is the place to be for the rich and famous.
Allthough it is not cheap to live in Monte Carlo (apartments are sold for a minimum of 50.000 euro per m2) or to go out (a small beer will cost you at least 7,50 euro). It is a great place to visit. You have the harbour, casino, principal palace, exotic garden, the beach and many more places in the country that measures only 2km2.
At night lots of people visit the Buddha Bar, Sas bar (watch out for the hookers), Stars&Bars, Before, Rascasse (only when it’s late and you’re drunk) or the famous disco Jimmy’z.
So don’t hesitate and take a plane to the place to be. Closest airport is Nice, from where you can take a taxi (100euro), helicopter (40 euro), bus (20 euro) or bus and train (7,50 euro). Or just rent a car or boat to get here.

Your boots must have fur, if you want to be in fashion this winter. Unfotunately, rabbitfur is very popular in the east now, but we prefer fake fur, as no animals are harmed then.
The boots are warm, look nice and qute. So go for it and buy yourself some furry boots!
By the way, don’t take it over the top, as these celebrities do. Have some boots with a touch of fur as a detail, but don’t wear a dead animal as a boot:
